Tango Dance Style - The Salon Tango and Milonguero Style

If you're new for the tango, you will probably startled to studying how to style the tango dance which associated with the dance. A variety of distinct tango styles in both tempo (speed of music) and the basic dance motion. Style of tango dance can be divided into two categories, close embrace and open embrace. In close embrace, dance partner is very close to each other. In open embrace, dance partners further apart, allowing the opportunity for a wider range of motion. The following list contains 8 styles of tango. But now I'll describe the Salon-style tango and Milonguero-style tango.



1. Tango Salon

Salon-style tango is usually danced with upright body position, and can be danced in open or closed position. either closed or open position. Salon style is characterized by both partners live on their own axis, and by maintaining a flexible arm that allows for rotation of the hips of both partners. Dancers must remain aware of the line dance at any time. Salon-style tango is usually danced with a very-accented beats tango music played in the 4 by 4 times.



2. Tango Milonguero

Milonguero-style tango is usually danced in close embrace, with a slightly reclined posture. Partners must maintain constant contact of the upper body throughout the whole dance, even during turns. While some instructors will instruct style dancer to lean against one another, others would prefer that the partners maintain their own balance. Dancers have to lean forward just enough to remain in the arms. Embracing this is often referred to as apilado.
